Your budget with the 50/30/20 rule
Enter what you take home each month, after tax, and we'll tell you how much goes to each part.
How it's worked out
The 50/30/20 rule splits your income into three parts: 50% for what you need (home, bills, food, transport), 30% for what you want (fun, eating out, subscriptions) and 20% for saving or paying off debt.
It isn't a law: if you live somewhere expensive, your needs may go over 50%. What helps is seeing where you are and adjusting bit by bit. Start by setting savings aside as soon as you're paid.
