Your puppy's or kitten's vaccine schedule
Enter when they were born and we'll show the indicative dates. Your vet decides the exact plan.
How it's worked out
The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) guidelines recommend starting core vaccines at 6–8 weeks and repeating them every 2–4 weeks until 16 weeks or older. A booster follows at 26 weeks, and after that the next core booster isn't needed for at least 3 years.
For dogs, core vaccines protect against distemper, adenovirus and parvovirus; for cats, against panleukopenia, calicivirus and herpesvirus. Rabies depends on local law: in many places it's mandatory for dogs from 3 months.

FAQ
Do these dates replace the vet?
No. They're indicative, based on WSAVA guidelines. Your vet decides which vaccines, when, and which aren't needed for your pet.
Why so many doses at first?
Antibodies passed on by the mother can block the vaccine in the first weeks. Repeating until 16 weeks makes sure one dose lands once they no longer interfere.
Can they go outside before finishing?
Ask your vet: it depends on the area and their health. Meanwhile, avoid places with lots of unknown dogs.
